An Oscar Meyer bologna & Kraft cheese slice sandwich with Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread. The last time I had one was when I was 7 months pregnant. The craving got in my head and I couldn't rest until I had one. It was not quite as good as I remembered from my childhood, but to tell you the truth, it wasn't that bad either.
The 70's was a wonderful time to grow up. Sure, the food & drink choices weren't the healthiest ones, but the freedom we had as kids will just never be the same. Riding bikes all over the neighborhood, hanging out at the pool or the lake, no parents in sight, playing Capture the Flag or freeze tag all afternoon, until someone's mom yelled "Dinner!" from far in the distance, and we'd all run home to eat. After dinner, we'd run back out and chase around the neighborhood, our only rules: Stay out of trouble and Be home before dark. We were responsible kids that had a sense of community and we took care of each other. I love the 70's! Now, I think it's time for a bowl of Frosted Flakes and some Brady Bunch reruns.
