When I was a child I wanted a dog so badly, that it has become a source of many funny stories now that I am an adult. One of my favorites was when my parents went to parent-teacher conferences in about the first grade. My teacher said, "Tasha must really love her dog. It's all she talks about. She draws pictures of the dog, tells stories, etc.". "Uh, we don't have a dog...", replied my parents. Wishful thinking I guess. I do have a dog now. And yes, I spoil her and treat her like my child sometimes. Some mornings I wake up to find her head on the pillow next to mine, snoring right in my face, and me hanging on to the edge of the bed because she's almost pushed me out. But I don't mind. The love of a dog, and the love we have for dogs, is something special. They bring us so much joy, teach us to be playful again and how to love unconditionally. If I'm ever in a bad mood, a dog can always cheer me up. Here are a few of my favorite dog stories of the day...you can save them for when you need cheering up. Enjoy!
